Our History

The Women in Prayer Network (WIP) is a registered Non-governmental Organization – NGO in Ghana and a non-denominational Christian fellowship incorporated in August 2010.

Its history has it that on 21st March 2008, a passion was birthed in Accra to organize women to intercede for the restoration of broken homes, help the needy and most importantly spread the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. It was a handful of highly spirited and God-fearing women led by Jennifer Biney (Mrs. Jennifer Simpson) assembled to intercede for each other.

WIP is committed to winning lost souls back to Christ Jesus by offering them opportunities to enjoy their divine inheritance and fulfilment of God’s word (John 21:16-17). As an organization, WIP is also dedicated to a thorough campaign of helping the less privileged and building their capacity to enable them survive and thrive independently  in this challenging world.

Nature of WIP

Our Core Values

Stewardship

We consider ourselves stewards holding in trust resources at our disposal handed us through the benevolence of individuals and institutions. We are faithful to this purpose and manage them in the manner that brings the maximum benefits to the less privileged in our societies.

Commitment

We are covenanted with each other, and before God to do our utmost individual best to uphold these core values, to honour them in our decision making, to express them in our relationships among members and others, and to act consistently with them to first bring glory to God, and also to WIP.

Discipleship

We are determined to transform our members into life-long followers of Christ, devoted intercessors who will be prepared to transfer their skills to develop new talent.

Service

We are called to spread the gospel of Christ, intercede for families, friends and nations, and serve the needy in our societies with love and compassion to relieve them through poverty alleviation initiatives and programs.

Fellowship

At WIP, we believe in building strong and meaningful relationships which in turn creates a friendly environment where every member feels a sense of belonging and can easily explore their God given talents.
